Apart from having been given the wrong entry code and a nonexisting exit # from the freeway in the directions, all was great. There could be more items in the kitchen, specifically we had only one wine glass! And a few more small spoons would be great too. The hot tub was lovely, especially at sunset when the view is great. No one was renting the big house so we felt comfortable using the hot tub. We would return again.

I would hands down tell my friends and family about this rental. The only reason a 5 out of 5 wasnt given in all areas was because of some finishing touches that could have been done. I overal loved this getaway! Management was helpful and location was good.
The house & casita were fine but there were some things that need attention: 1)the mattress in the north bedroom on the main floor needs replacing, 2)the leak in the closet of the north bedroom needs to be repaired, 3)there is water getting behind the tile in the shower/bath in the north bedroom, when the shower is on, 4)there is a leak at the regulator on propane line on the barbeque at the house, & 5)the gas cooktop in the house needs some repair/maint. These are all minor items which I bring to your attention but your action but did not distract from a very enjoyable family stay.Z
Wow, we were very pleased with the location and views from the house. We loved the house, we felt like it was our home. Our trip was wonderful. We both felt more connected and closer to one another. We feel a big part of that was that we had a home we were sharing verus a hotel room. We lounged outside reading until it got chilly and then got a throw from inside and read till the sun went down. We enjoyed soaking in the tub, and relaxing watching tv. Even though other homes are nearby everything was peacful and private. The bed was super comfy we slept great every night. It was nice having a fride, oven and washer and dryer in the house. It was so nice, we travel often, this year we have been to mexico, bahamas, michigan, wisconsin, texas, italy and new mexico. This trip might be our best of the year. Gordy and his partner were helpful and very nice. We hope to return soon.
MY WIFE AND I WANTED TO GO TO SANTA FE TO CELEBRATE OUR 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. UNFORTUNATELY, OUR TIMING COINCIDED WITH THE BALLOON FESTIVAL AND LODGING WAS LIMITED. I FINALLY TRACKED DOWN YOUR PROPERTY ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE OUR VACATION, LET ME JUST SAY, I'M GLAD ALL OUR OTHER PLANS FELL THROUGH. I ARRIVED AT OUR VACATION SITE AND ALSO RETURNED HOME AS A "HERO" TO MY WIFE. THE AMMENITIES WERE GREAT, IT WAS THE RIGHT SIZE FOR A GETAWAY FOR TWO. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS GETTING LOST AND HAVING A LITTLE TROUBLE CONTACTING SOMEONE FOR ASSISTANCE. MY WIFE AND I HAVE STAYED IN CABINS AND OTHER ACCOMODATIONS IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY, SOUTHERN COLORADO AND SEVERAL PLACES IN NEW MEXICO. CASITA NOMAD IS EASILY IN THE TOP 2, ONLY BEATEN BY A FULL LOG VACATION CABIN IN TEXAS, WHICH COST TWICE AS MUCH.WE WILL CERTAINLY RETURN.THANKS FOR HAVING SUCH A GREAT PLACE.ELISEO AND TERRI ALEJOS
This was a terrific place to stay. It may look as if the property manager rating helpful is neutral, but we appreciated being left alone. We truly felt as if we belonged. We loved the location, got to see prairie dogs on our way into town. The other house is close, but we loved our neighbors and although there were lots of folk there we never heard them. Loved the pet friendly aspect, views and ambience.
We loved both properties -- their great location on the edge of town with fantastic views of the Jemez Mountains and the glorious sunsets, the large parking area, the cleanliness and condition of the properties, the luxurious bedding and towels, the interesting art work, and the special toiletries in each bathroom. We have several suggestions for making future renters even happier: more teaspoons, forks, and knives; wastebaskets in each bedroom; more mixing bowls; more dish towels and a dish-drying rack, more patio seating (perhaps stacking plastic chairs); more seating at the dining table than the six chairs provided (perhaps folding chairs). We did experience a small annoyance with the gas range: the burners would continue to "spark" even after they were lit, but that didn't prevent our using the range.With the exception of some early misunderstandings in the process of renting the casita, our dealings with Gordon Schaefer were cordial and we found him to be helpful and readily available.We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who's looking for an outstanding vacation in Santa Fe.By the way, I had already responded to your request at least one week ago.
This casita was lovely. The view was magnificent, though a few new lawn chairs would help. Everything else was great. I would love to come back to this place.
Lovely guesthouse, with a super comfy bed and fireplace in the living room. Easy drive down to the historical district. Just get a decent ice tray!
Four couples all expressed themselves extremely pleased with Casa and Casita Nomad. It was attractive, clean and functional. Good Southwest decor and well stocked kitchen. We had a ball!!
It would have been nice to have been contacted by someone just to see if everything was OK. But we thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend Casita Nomad. (Please correct the name of our town below: it is Boonville. Thanks)
We were extremely pleased with our casita! Great location, beautiful property, very friendly property manager. Only suggestion is to stock it with more toilet paper!

We had an extraordinary time at Casa Nomad. We rented the casa and the casita and they worked out perfectly. There were nine of us all together and the space provided privacy and shared gathering space, as well as a wonderful ambiance. The sunsets were breathtaking. We will definately come back!!
Only two things. The stove was not working and called but didn't get a call till the next day. We weren't using it so no big deal. It would be nice to have directions on how to use the stereo/sound system. Could use a mirror in bedroom
We rented this unit after finding it online. We live in Portland, Oregon and planned to be spend our honeymoon relaxing in beautiful New Mexico. We took a gamble that the unit would be as it was on the website. We arrived and were blown away at how great the location was, how beautiful the view is, and how great the casita is. We LOVED everything about this sweet little home away from home and coulnd't have picked a better place! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT if you want all the luxury of being at home while staying in a modern, hip, place.
We were not satisfied with the property manager at all. We tried to reach him for several days unsuccessfully to report a problem with our dryer. He eventually left us a message, but did not fix the problem. The casita was great, good location, had everything we needed. The cleaning people were amazing, but the house could use some TLC.
The place served our purposes almost perfectly...liked the location tremendously, as it was close to town but not 'too close'. It was clean overall, although the housekeepers seemed to have missed some hair in the bathroom (ew!) and it wasn't clear that the sheets on the pullout couch had been changed (easy to miss if a renter just put the couch back in and forgot to take the sheets off first). The pull out bed was intolerable, caused my friend has great back pain and after the first night he slept directly on the couch in a sleeping bag. That was a shame. The hot tub was lovely to have and we enjoyed it immensely...however, there was no shock agent under the sink as described in the care sheet. We didn't worry about it as the owners clearly were shocking/taking care of/using the tub as well. The only other thing I would add is that if you are charging a 75 dollar cleaning fee for a little casita, you don't ask the renters to strip the beds. Housecleaning should most certainly be able to do that for the price. We did strip the beds, but both agreed in this opinion.All in all, a lovely stay at a good offseason price. I will be back.

Beautiful home with great sunset views. We were a little surprised to find the owners clothing & food in the house. We assumed the house would be completely clear of items and were a little uncomfortable sharing this with the owner. We also had to call the owner for several items in the house. He was EXTREMELY helpful and we really appreciate it but felt as though we were somewhat of a burden on him. We would recommend this place to another.
Gorgeous sunsets. Hot tub under the stars. Feel like a local. Unfortunately, a cell phone is a must...unit telephone is sporadic.
The property wasn't ready (cleaned) when we arrived. Having a dishwasher would be beneficial.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Nomad casita. The location was good, just a short drive to downtown Santa Fe and the Plaza and fairly central location in regards to other destinations but still private with great views. This was also a great location if you are traveling with a pet and the accommodations are nice for humans but dog friendly too. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and abundant supply of firewood. The bathroom was big and very nice and we liked the jetted bathtub a lot. We never really used the kitchen except to keep a few things in the refrigerator but that was a very nice feature as well. It was also nice to have two flat panel TV's, one in the living area and one in the bedroom which we used to watch a DVD each evening after our adventures in Santa Fe. The only negative issue we encountered was with our reservation. When we spoke to Tatiana we were promised a 10% discount on the total casita rental but we never received that discount and paid the full $149.00 per night plus, pet fees, cleaning fees and tax, totaling $564.41 for 3 nights. The total should have been $516.37 with the 10% discount on the casita rental rate. There was also some confusion about our rental dates which we never knew until the evening prior to our stay but we got that fixed. I think this is a great rental but the rental agents/owners just need to get a few glitches straight in the rental process to cut down on confusion and to follow through on discounts offered. The only other suggestion I could make would be the installation of a full length mirror somewhere in the casita. I would recommend this casita as well as the other Nomad properties to friends and family visiting Santa Fe but would advise them to get dates and rental pricing straight before booking.
I was a little disapointed , this time around. Some of the walls were dirty, and the furnishings looked more worn, and not as clean
again and we had to work around the couple in the other unit for the hot tub
4 couples who've known each other for 30 plus years met for Thanksgiving in this beautiful location. We had plenty of room and the views were spectacular! I am writing a separate note about things that needed repair/fixed, but what a beautiful quiet location. We enjoyed our stay very much and were grateful for the beauty of the desert!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Nomad Casita Oct.9-13th. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and the location of your Casita was wonderful. I do, however, have a few areas of complaint that I would like to make mention of for the consideration of your future guests: 1. The entrance area of the front door corner was filthy. There was garbage and debris collected in the corner making a very unsightly first impression. 2. Even though we paid a $69 cleaning fee, the place was not very clean. Yes, we had clean sheets and clean towels, but all the furniture was dusty, as well as floors, bathroom, and the windows were dirty obscuring the beautiful mountain view . 3. There was no hand-soap in the bathroom, only one roll of toilet paper, and no napkins or paper towels provided in the kitchen. 4. There were no instructions for the inside of the home, no phone numbers or tourist guides, nothing. AND we did not talk to ONE person, nor were there contact phone numbers. There were no instructions or provisions for garbage placement. 5. The fireplace was dirty and open (we did not use it), the candles were overburned and old, and the bbq grill outside did not work, and was dirty. 6. The concrete floors made for a "cold and clinical feel" and would have been nicer with significant rug placement. We did enjoy our stay, but would not rent through you again due to these disappointments. Santa Fe speaks for itself and made everything worthwhile, but we would have appreciated the comforting amenities that were promised, but not provided. We were very disappointed when we arrived and realized how far away from the plaza the property actually is. We walked the distance once (about 75 minutes) and confirmed it was not a reasonable way to access the plaza. Although the unit was generally clean and well-kept, the dryer was shoved full of what I am presuming were bathrobes and additional linens that should have been in place when we arrived. Also, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. The walls were full of nail holes and missing plaster. Lastly, the position of the hot tub on the property (right next to the main house) made it very uncomfortable to access, so we never once used it although it had been a major selling point that drew us away from another rental property that was significantly closer to the square. We asked repeatedly how private and adjacent it was to the main house and was never given a clear response. Great price, but even that will not be enough to entice us back.
Although the location and amenities in the unit were ok We were terribly disappointed with: the lack of privacy neighbors being able to look down on our patio, the inability to use the hot tub and lack of privacy with the hot tub right in front of the neighbors house and constantly in use by the neighbors. Loud construction (street grading) noise on the street and the bed was so uncomfortable that after 5 days we could no longer stand it and went elsewhere We had no contact with the property management so that was not applicable, shelf in bathroom above had fallen off wall before we got there and stashed in closet. Knowing what we know now we feel that certainly the hot tub was misrepresented and were over all very dissatisfied
